PARTICIPATORY WALLS

SEMESTER 2 : YEAR 3
IN PARTNERSHIP WITH PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL
PROJECT BRIEF:
- To redesign the 'Perception of Pigment' into a feasible and functioning community based programme that can be placed into various locations in Plymouth starting with Victoria Park Bowling Green.
- Reduce the taboo surrounding 'antisocial behaviour' in particular Graffiti
Unlike other walls in Plymouth, ‘Perception of Pigment’ will allow the community to share their creativity with one another on a public platform no matter what their skill levels are, not only as a result of legalisation but also from the accessibility to leftover paint.  The project would fit in with the Future Parks scheme as Plymouth won a bid to be granted funding, all bids must have been focused around the following:
- Make green spaces central to everyday community
- Giving communities a larger role in how greens spaces are managed

FESTIVAL MURALS
Once the walls are being used and seen by communities there is the opportunity to use them as a feature point of the park during festive seasons and for evens that are open to the entire community. These murals can be done either by artists or by the community themselves.
As time goes on these murals could be spread across the entire city.
